How it works
Look your car up.We check the DVSA’s MOT history for the registration you enter and show you the current test’s due date immediately — no signup required for that part.
Confirm your email.Enter your email address and we’ll send a one-click confirmation link — this stops anyone signing your address up for reminders about a car that isn’t theirs.
Get two reminders. One 30 days before the MOT is due, one 7 days before.
Optionally, add a service reminder too. Once you’ve looked your car up, you can also pick a date for a one-off service reminder — useful if there’s no MOT date yet, or if you just want a nudge for both.
Frequently asked questions
- When will I get an MOT reminder?
- Two emails: one 30 days before your car's MOT is due, and one 7 days before. Both go to the email address you subscribe with, for the registration you look up.
- What happens if my car's MOT lapses?
- Nothing happens to your subscription — you'll simply stop getting reminders for that expiry date until the car has a new MOT with a new expiry date on record, at which point the 30-day and 7-day reminders start again for the new date.
- What if my car doesn't have an MOT date yet?
- Common for a car under 3 years old, which doesn't need an MOT yet. You'll still get the option to set a free service reminder instead — pick a date yourself and we'll email you once, around then.
- Do you send anything else besides the reminders I ask for?
- No — only the reminder emails for whichever kind (or kinds) you subscribe to. No newsletter, no other marketing. Unsubscribe any time with one click from the link in any reminder email.
- Do I need an account?
- No. Enter a registration and an email address and confirm the email we send you — that's the whole signup. There's nothing to log into, for either the MOT or the service reminder.
